How to Spot Fake Hello Kitty & Thomas Products

Many of our customers asked why our authentic Hello Kitty & Thomas products' prices are much higher compare with others that selling non-authentic product since it looks the same. Most of the time, sellers who are selling non-authentic products are using authentic image for posting to attract viewers. In this case, viewers have no way to tell whether they are looking at a fake product prior to receiving their order.

In month Oct 2010, we had decided to bring in some non-authentic Kitty & Thomas products due to high market demand. We can't denied that, there are huge group of non-authentic products buyers in our market, to ensure we are competence to the market trend, we have no alternative but to offer both authentic & fake products in our eshop.

To further protect our customers who only buy authentic products, Celine will quote these non-authentic products as "non-authentic, imitate, or fake". And, we also share with our customers, how to spot fake products here. Celine is too busy of handling the little monster at home, will share with all of you for spotting the fake Thomas products when Celine is available.

Security hologram : usually, fake Kitty products will not come with security hologram. But some good fake does have security hologram. Due to photo quality restriction (sorry, Celine is not a pro camera man), Celine unable to show the different between the ori & fake security hologram sticker here. However, 1 thing for sure, fake security hologram are difficult to view the exact Kitty face even under direct light. Authentic security hologram's Kitty character print is clear, sharp and details such as eyes, nose & whiskers are easily sighted.

zipper & sewing : authentic Kitty zippers are made of high quality zip, usually slightly bigger/thicker then the fake one. Take a closer look of the sewing above, authentic bags are sew neatly, with even stitching whereas fake one is not evenly stitched.

Zipper pull : take a closer look at both of the zipper pulls. The authentic zipper pull is made of high quality plastic or ABS, with even & smooth cutting. Fake zipper pulls are usually lighter in weight, uneven cutting or with sharp angles which it might injured the little users.

material : authentic kitty products are made of high quality canvas/PU/PVC/polyester. A good example shown at picture above, the authentic kitty's ribbon is round in shape, filled evenly with fiber inside in puffy shape whereas the fake one is not sew evenly (obviously 1 side bigger and the other side smaller), fiber filling is not evenly inserted.

sewing/stitching : can you tell the different between the 2 pictures above?
answer - eyes, nose & whiskers : authentic one is stitched in full and wrapped neatly, fake one not.
